Troubleshooting
The preset buttons are greyed out
No wall is selected. Click a wall in the Plan view, then click the preset.
Wall cabinets aren't in the list
You've selected an island. Islands take base and tall cabinets only.
My cabinets are on the outside of the room
Check the wall turns. A room built with the opposite turn from the one you meant comes out mirrored. If the turns are right and cabinets still sit outside the walls, use Report a problem and include a screenshot.
A number I typed changed
A limit was applied. See Entering measurements.
The cabinet I typed a position for moved
It shouldn't: typed positions stay put. A dragged cabinet can shift slightly to snap to a neighbour. Type the gap in Gap to neighbour if you need an exact spot.
A "3 drawer" cabinet has the wrong number of drawers
Open the editor → Face tab → select the drawer section and set Drawer count.
The blind corner has no door offset
It isn't blind until there's a cabinet on the return wall in front of it. Add one. See Blind corners.
Export sends me to the pricing page
You've used your free DXF export and your trial has ended. See Plans and billing.
"Parts won't fit this sheet" and export is blocked
See Nesting.
Parts are slightly too big or too small
Almost always one of these:
- The material thickness is nominal, not measured. See Materials.
- The tool diameter is nominal, not measured. See CNC tools.
- Z-zero is set on the wrong surface. For Cabinet Run G-code, zero on the top of the material. For DXF, follow whatever your CAM job is set to.
Dovetails won't go together
The tail bit must be a new ¼″ bit. A resharpened bit is smaller and the joint won't fit.
Something else
Use Report a problem in the app. It attaches the page you were on. Include a screenshot if it's something you can see.
First-cut checklist
Before cutting a whole kitchen, cut one cabinet:
- Material thicknesses measured and entered
- Sheet size matches your stock
- Tool diameters measured and entered; tool assignment saved
- Runner and hinge drilling checked against the maker's template
- Z-zero set on the top of the material (or as your CAM job expects, for DXF)
- Cut the cabinet, dry-fit it, check it's square, check a drawer and a door
- Only then nest and cut the rest
