Countertops

1. Choose Countertops in the right-hand panel.
2. Select a wall or island, then click + Add to Wall N.

The new countertop covers that wall's base cabinets. Click Edit on it to change:

• Against a wall: Pos (start along the wall), Length, Depth, Thick, Material
• On an island: Front OH, Back OH, Left OH, Right OH (how far the slab overhangs the cabinets on each side, which is where seating goes), Thick, Material

Click Save. You can also drag or resize a countertop in the Plan view.

Countertops are drawn and dimensioned but not added to the cut list. You don't cut stone on a router.

Sink and cooktop holes are set per cabinet in the cabinet editor, under Countertop cutout.

Appliances

Appliances are placeholder blocks that reserve space, so the cabinets around them come out right. They are not added to the cut list.

1. Choose Appliances in the right-hand panel.
2. Pick the Type: Refrigerator, Range, Oven + cooktop, Microwave or Dishwasher.
3. Pick the Wall (or leave it Unplaced).
4. Leave W / H / D blank for standard sizes, or enter the model's real size.
5. Click + Add appliance.

Drag it into place in the Plan or Front view. Click edit to change its name, type or size.

Use the appliance maker's spec sheet, not the "nominal" size. A "36 in" fridge is often 35¾ in wide and needs extra room to open the door.

Fridge surround

The Fridge surround preset (under Appliance in the Add panel) builds the cabinet around a fridge: a cabinet above it, capped at the room's ceiling height. Set the ceiling height before you add one.
